Well, it looks like I am buying a house. They say not to count the sale final until you are at the closing table and that is why I say "looks". I had it inspected today and all went well. I just got back from getting my mortgage squared away and a purchase agreement has been signed. It is in Royal Oak and as the deal draws closer I will take some digipics and tell you more about it. For now, there's more checks to be written!

Other than that, not much else is new. I have been trying to find some time to get the new core|3 Solutions site off the ground. We have a lot of new features being built into it that I am very excited to use. Part of the delay in getting the site launched though is the amount of work Ryan and I have had lately. Not complaining...just stating. My goal (and I know I have said this for the past two weekends, but this is it for real) is to get it done by the end of this weekend.

We are supposedly having a big family reunion at Higgins this weekend, but right now the forecast isn't looking so bright. Hopefully the weather holds out though and some sunshine peeks through for us. It should be a good time as long as the weather holds up. And even it if doesn't, I am sure it will be a blast.

I finally got around to posting some pictures from last weekend. I wanted to take more, and intended to, but as usual, I forgot.

That's all for now I guess. I should get back to work. Jen has been here since Monday night hanging out on her week off and now that she is gone it is kinda lonely. :-( Not only is she a great girlfriend, she's also become one of my best friends. And that's great. ;-) Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week and has a great weekend. Until next time...

I probably should have eaten something other than brownies so far today. Blah.

Nothing much new to talk about. Some stuff of interest is in the works but I can't release details until all the "t's" are crossed and "i's" are dotted. Phil, Duck, Wayne (Duck's friend), Gorman and I went out to JD's Key Club in Pontiac last night. It was a lot of fun. Duck's friend Wayne is a really fun guy. He is 29 and quit his job and is just traveling the world now. He shared some fun stories. We also saw a fight while in line at JD's. That was cool.

Jen has sanctioned me to go up north this weekend (she is going to Kzoo to hang out and for her sister's bridal shower). Billy and Erik are joining me and I am sure my brother and some of his friends will be there. It should be a good time. I am really excited to go wakeboarding some more as I am finally healed from last weekend's riding. This will be my fifth weekend in a row up north. :-)

Here are a few quick links I found in Maxim. Check 'em out if you're bored. The Celebriducks are always funny to look at and this invention is pretty cool too. Anyway, back to work now. Trying to get the new core|3 site wrapped up before this Sunday. Over and out...

Saw Terminator 3 tonight. Frankly I wasn't too impressed because I don't like open-ended movies, but oh well. Anyway, I worked ALL day and now I am tired. Goodnight...

Oh, and get well soon Bowman!

This story just makes me laugh.

Spent a WONDERFUL weekend up north with Jen again. We were all over the state! We went up to Lake Ogemaw on Friday night and got there in time to wakeboard and water ski. On Saturday morning we went up to Lake Leelanau to visit Jen's dad and brother who were camping up there with some friends. We visited 4 winery's and had a great time wine tasting. After that we hung out a bit more (until the rain moved in) and headed home. On the way back to West Branch we stopped in at Higgins to see Hoppie (Grammy's roomie from college) and the rest of the Higgins gang. We got back to Lake Ogemaw around midnight and immediately hit the hay.

Today we just kinda hung out a little bit and did some more wakeboarding. I took the fins off the board and now I can do a frontside and a blindside 360 on the water. I am still working on doing it in the air. Slowly but surely.

In other news, I posted some more pictures of good ole Emma. Boy is she getting big! Still cute as a button (kinda like her Uncle Paul, right?)!

This week is going to be a busy one. I will try to post some more things to keep you entertained but no promises there. Hope everyone else had a fun weekend and enjoy the up-coming week.

So Ryan Shaltry got me addicted to this game. It is basically a test of how fast you can type. I only tried twice and the best I scored was 298. I also did this while I was on the phone with Jen (avoiding her questions about what I was doing and how I wasn't listening to her, ha ha!). So I will try again tomorrow when I am fresh and see how I do. Give a shot though and let me know how you score.

Another funny picture from the Ogemaw Live site:

Posted pictures from last weekend online finally. Phil A., Gorman, LLiby and I went up to Lake Ogemaw and rebuilt the wall along the driveway, replacing the wooden beams with landscaping bricks. It turned out nice and I think G&G Lee will be very happy with it.

Like the new colors? I have been feeling very webpage-ish lately. It will die down I am sure. Time for bed as I have to be up in 5 hours or so. Blah.

Redesigned pictures.PaulChambers.com tonight. Nothing major, just something little. I also posted pictures from Chris's graduation party, Katie's last night in East Lansing (before leaving for Dayton for the real world), and this past weekend. That's all, have to get back to work now. Enjoy!

After searching for "termis" (one of Gorman's many nick-names) at Google's image search, I came across today's Google Image of the Day. Enjoy!

Sunday, July 06, 2003

Well, another AWESOME 4th of July up north has passed. Jen and I made the trip up Thursday afternoon to Higgins Lake and hung out there until Friday afternoon at which time we headed down to Lake Ogemaw for the rest of the weekend. I will post pictures as soon as I can get my digital camera battery charged. The boat parade was a blast as usual with the exception of nearly sinking the pontoon we had to borrow (ours was in the shop for repairs). But after bumming a ride from some guy in a speedboat, I quickly got home and brought out the jetboat to join in the parade as well and unload passengers from the near-sinking pontoon. We went through nearly 600 water balloons and next year we're going to be even more prepared with about a thousand (yes, nearly 600 was not enough!).

BUT now it is back to the grind. I am in Clarkson finishing up some work right now but I am going to head home soon. Wanted to point out the new Telemarketer's DO NOT CALL list run by the good ole US Government. Check it out and get yourself off the list (or should I say on the list?). That's all for now. Hope everyone else also had a safe and happy 4th...
