Well, it was another wonderful (and white!) Christmas here at the Chambers/Marquardt household. I have to go remove a lot from my Amazon.com wish list. Between Santa and Grandma, we're all just spoiled rotten! I'd have to say my favorite present received today (I say today because if I said in general, it would be hard to beat Jenni's quilt she made me!) is the Linksys Wireless-B Media Adapter. As my laptop sits in my room here, I can play music and view pictures off of it in my living room downstairs, ALL WIRELESSLY! This thing is super cool and I highly recommend it!
Chris and I were up late last night putting the finishing touches on the gift we were making for Grandma and Grandpa. I call it a "Remember when..." poster. We wrote down a bunch of memories and put them along with a few pictures into a frame and gave it to them. Before Grandma could even look at it she was already bawling. I also spent a large part of yesterday making Grammy a computer. She was just thrilled! She is presently working on an original Bondi Blue iMac which is extremely outdated. So all-in-all, it was yet another wonderful Christmas. My Uncle Larry, Aunt Kathy, and Cousin Trey are due here at about 3:00 PM or so for dinner. Emma, Scott, and Trish will be over then as well. For now I am going to go play some of my new Xbox games. Hope everyone had as merry a Christmas as I did. :-)
HO HO HO!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Now this is cool. I came across a site after following a link from Ryan Shaltry's homepage, that hosts LEGO creations. Very cool! Now I don't feel like such a loser for playing with LEGO's over last Thanksgiving break.
AMAZING! Another one! This one has instructions from and a full reference of every LEGO set ever made (for the most part). The Internet never ceases to amaze me.
I've decided in the next few weeks I am going to launch my web site dedicated to discussing customer service. It is going to focus on both good and bad customer service relations. I'm just sick of receiving poor customer service and the company thinking it is okay. With that in mind though, I would like to praise those who make it a priority (like core|3 Solutions, ahem).
The tricky part is finding a good domain name. Domains like "whatmakesmemad.com" are available, but as previously stated, I don't want it to just focus on the poor customer service out there. It needs to be short, catchy, and easy to remember. Any suggestions? Before you suggest though, see if your suggestion is available (and I would prefer a .com, but a .info domain may also be acceptable).
Just pulled in from the bar. I was the "DD" tonight for Mayer, Gorman, and Keith and man were they hilarious! It's great to hang out with the guys and be our usual immature boys from time to time. Thanks for the great time guys!

Wow. I don't really even know what to think. I am sure Mayer, Gorman and Dief will get a good laugh from this one.

I forgot to mention: I was looking at some of Peter Caralis' pictures and came across a tailgate one. I then decided to do some comparing between an MSU tailgate and a UofM tailgate. Here's a few things I noticed:
UofM Tailgate
MSU Tailgate
Just a few things I noticed. Back to work now...
I've got a few minutes here as I munch on my Snicker's to catch everyone up a bit on what's going on.
Monday night Dief and I went down to the casino after a long day of work. I brought only $100, although I was tempted to bring $200. As usual, we played Blackjack at MGM in Detroit and I was up and down most of the night. In the end though, I finished up $50 and walked out with a smile on my face. Dief won $37.50 and was also smiling. After that we went out to Novi and met Cora and some friends at the Post Bar for a few drinks and some socializing. Before we knew it, it was 1 AM and Dief had to be awake in 4 hours for work. We called it a night and back to Troy we went. Today was another long day of work. You'd think that since Christmas is coming up, people would be focusing on that. But nooooo, instead they are focusing on breaking their computers. Oh well, it keeps me busy. :-) Tomorrow should be equally long. I still have a few more hours of work to do tonight here because all of my paperwork gets pushed to the night as I spend most of my day on the road. Back up at 7:30 again to send Taylor off to school. Until next time... Saturday, December 13, 2003
This is a rather fun tool. Try typing in "I can't stand fat people!" and see what you get. Amusing none-the-less.

Holy HENRY SHIH is it cold out there (19 degrees Fahrenheit, feels like 8 degrees Fahrenheit according to weather.com)! Just got back from the library where I spent 5 hours straight reading and studying for my TC 375 exam tomorrow. I know Mayer, that's not much compared to the crap you put up with for law school. But, when you look at it, that 5 hours accounted for about 33% of my "hard studying" for the semester. So it was quite a bit for me. Anyway, I should get some sleep now so I can do well on this test. I need at least a 52%. Wish me luck...

Mayer sent out this link to the OctoDog's site to me today. Personally, I think it makes hot dogs that much more disgusting. Blech! :-P

Posted some links to the old versions of PaulChambers.com in the links area. I like version 2.0 the best. Time for bed now...
I called Billy tonight to get Berger's phone number and just before he was about to read it to me I asked him to hold on for a second so I could start the voice recorder on my phone. Needless to say, he wasn't happy and before I could get the number, my voice recorder said it was FULL! Thanks Billy! Here's his reaction though to me not being ready. He went on for a bit more, but as I stated, the recorder was full and he got cut off. Enjoy...

Jenni actually informed me today that my brother George's wedding pictures were now online. Congrats to both of them and we're sorry we couldn't make it down to the wedding.

After a nice, relaxing weekend, it's back to the grind as I sit here with my eye still fricken twitching (grrrrrr). On Saturday, Jen and I went to Rocky and Rae's wedding where Ryan and I were honored to be ushers. Rocky and Rae have been our lawyers since high school and we have become great friends with them over the years. They have been almost parent-like to both of us, me especially as they represented me in the legal procedures after my father's death. The wedding was very nice and dinner afterward was held at the Bloomfield Open Hunt Club on Long Lake. Jen and I both got lobster/filet combo and agreed it was delicious! We wish Rocky and Rae the best!
After the wedding Jen and I decided to go up north and relax. Despite getting up there late on a Saturday night, it was worth the drive. Nothing like a good up north trip to clear the mind and relax a bit. Good news too, the lake is FROZEN! Trust me, it's good news. Here's a few snapshots: ![]() That's all for tonight. Jen and I just got back from a ginger bread house building contest. The pizza guy judged and we won! Heidi and Charles did put in a good effort though. Another long week of work and then my TC 375 final on Friday. Until next time... Friday, December 05, 2003
Finally got the good ol' website updated here. I will be redesigning the pictures site to match the rest soon. Stayed tuned...

I feel like absolute $#!% today. I don't know. I got a fair amount of sleep last night, I just think my brain is fried. Yesterday was a very long day to say the least. Besides my eye twitching, I now get a shooting pain in my head when I look any direction but straight ahead with my eyes. Yeah, real cool. I really just wanna go up north and relax, but that cannot happen for a while with my schedule. Between exams, work, and Erik deciding he was gonna move out (yep, another real cool thing), I'm just at my breaking point. I know if I suck it up for a few more weeks here though I'll find some time to rest. Gotta study for my exam tonight now. The lack of motivation doesn't help, but I can do it...

So I was laying in bed and just getting super stressed out about what I have going on and coming up right now so I decided to get up and re-design my website! None of the buttons work yet because I think I should probably get a bit of sleep, but as time goes on I will work on it. I know, I know, it's still a pretty simple and plain design, but it works for me. And as you can tell, I like blue. This is now Version 6.0 of the infamous PaulChambers.com. Time for bed now. Enjoy!

And I can't believe it's December already!
Boy, that Emma sure is silly! I just added some pictures of her that Scott and Trish sent over with her two favorite things: Suckers and balloons!
