Newman sent this article to me tonight. This guy rules! I especially love his quote towards Gates!

My step-dad once told me that when they were kids, they would say, "Who would ever pay for TV?" This was in regards to cable television. I found myself a year or two ago saying the same thing about radio. Now I am considering XM Satellite Radio for a few reasons. We'll see.

And apparently Michael Moore is coming to East Lansing tomorrow. If I didn't have a million other things to do, I'd stop by and listen in.

Well, I created my first Flash file today in TC 446 (with Gorman as the center of the story). Now I know what you're thinking, "What the heck, this guy does web sites for a living and this is the kinda crap he makes in Flash." Well, you're right. But see, I usually let Deyer do the Flash stuff and I do other stuff. Well, just you wait...I'll get better! Until then, enjoy my "crap"...

Special thanks goes out to Jeremy Barnell for discovering the video of the Will Ferrell graduation speech. Although it wasn't really hard to find considering it was right on Harvard's web page! Fast forward to about 01:30:30 to see Will speak. If you want to see Dief in the crowd, fast forward to 01:26:23 (thanks to Lliby for spotting him). Enjoy!

Mayer sent me Will Ferrell's Class Day speech at Harvard tonight. Reading it is hilarious, but I can't imagine how funny it must be to hear it! If anyone can find this in MP3 or whatever, please send it to me. Until then, enjoy the transcript...

For those of you not in mid-Michigan, it has been snowing here ALL FRICKEN DAY! I went out to shovel around 4:30 PM, and when I was done an hour later, another half an inch or more had fallen onto where I started! Now there are over four more inches on top of where I shoveled and it is supposed to snow all night long too! Check out these pictures that Barnell took because he rules (he told me to say that)!

So I bought this chip for my Xbox tonight. I've never "modded" anything before so this should be an experience. I am excited though, because as Tom explained to me today, I will be able to load SNES, Sega, and N64 emulators onto it, among other things! Oh, and apparently you can stream videos from your PC to it too! I'll keep you all updated and let you know how it turns out.

Back to work now though. Hopefully we don't get "snowed in". Until next time...

What?! NO! NO WAY! Could it be?! Yes, it's true, I finally posted all of my pictures. I also re-branded it as the media section. Hope all you whiners are happy now!

Remember when I wrote about how if you go to Google and type in "miserable failure", you get Bush's page at the White House? Well, that has now since changed, but the NY Times had an article about it in their Circuits section last week. Click Here to read it (you need to register, but it's pretty painless).

Anywho. I haven't thrown any more phones through the window lately, so that's a good thing. I'm trying to take today off to relax and then tomorrow I am gonna hit the books and get some work done. Time to finally install that C&C Generals expansion pack I got for Christmas!

I threw my phone through the window today. Literally, there is now a hole in the window of the upstairs family room. What a waste of money.

Why did I do this? Well, it's a combination of things, but the drawing factor was when the 12th person I had talked to at Dell disconnected from me. I was trying to get a Windows XP CD ordered for a customer. Software and Peripherals told me Technical Support had to order it. Technical Support told me it was a Customer Service issue. And Customer Service told me Software and Peripherals had to order it. The circle continued for about three hours and eventually I just cracked and chucked my phone through the double-paned glass and out into the snow in the four pieces it comes apart into.

I finally called my salesperson directly and told her my dilema. She got Joe on the phone who explained you could not get a replacement CD, you had to purchase a whole new one. Why? Because Microsoft said so. So after all that, I blame Microsoft for my broken window. I don't know why the first person could not have told me that, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Luckily my phone still works, but I have no idea what this window is going to cost me. It wasn't just Dell though that caused this anger, but we'll leave it there for now. It will be fun explaining this one to the landlord...

My brother-in-law Scott just sent out a few more pictures of Emma. She's still quite the little doll. I hung out with her at CaesarLand the other day in Madison Heights and boy can she eat the pizza!

I will write more soon, telling a bit about my recent trip out to Vegas and other useless stuff you don't want to read about. Until then, stay warm!

They've got their priorities straight!

This is my kind of house!

I could just go all day with these generators! (see below)

Now this is a good use of time.

Now this is quite an extension of support. Something I wouldn't expect out of Microsoft. There must be more delays with Longhorn. Interesting.

Well, the first day of classes has come and gone. Overall, I am happy with my class schedule, I just know it is going to be a hecktic semester. Not complaining; just stating. With 15 credits and 60+ hours of work per week, there won't be much room to breathe. Should be fun though. I have Advertising 205 (should be interesting), TC 446: Interactive Media Design (shouldn't be too bad), Building Construction Management 124 (should be pretty neat too), and General Business Law 323 (yay). Take a look for yourself if you would like to stalk me.

Tomorrow I have GBL 323 and then it's back to good ol' Oakland County to earn a buck (or two). I sure did mean to post some pictures from the past three months, but as you can tell, that never happened. :-)

So you say there's a potato in your computer?

I always wanted to know who had this quote and I finally got around to looking it up. I find it hilarious and often refer to it, however I never knew who said it and the exact year. Now I do. :-)

Boy it's been a long week! Started out kinda rough, not being in the work mood anymore, but that has since improved.

We played our first soccer game last night at Total Soccer. I am on a co-ed team playing with Gorman, Dief, Phil S., Jane, Yount, Caroline and a few others playing at the Fraiser Total Soccer on Thursday nights. We got off to a rough start at first, but really came together at the end. The score was 5-1 at the half and we ended up losing 8-7, which wasn't too bad considering we all had never played together before. In any event, it was a fun time and needless to say, I am sore today.

I should get back to work though. Using the DSL at a customer's office here. Quick note before I go though. Gorman came across this link, which frankly, I don't agree with. How could Ann Arbor be a low-stress city? People there practically want to kill themselves! Whatever. Until next time...

Well, it looks like it is back to the grind. New Years was fun as always. Took a few friends up north to relax and celebrate the New Year in. I don't start classes again for about another week, so my goal this week is to post all of my back-logged 2003 pictures to the web. I did manage to post one of Keith and Mayer up north on the lake. Enjoy! I will post more as the week goes on...
