I forgot to mention the past few days that a BIG congratulations goes out to Miss Caroline Peterson for finishing her triathlon down in Florida! Excellent job, Caroline; we're all proud of you!

On a different note, let me just say how amazing Google Maps is. Not only can you get some decent directions from it, but you can also get the satellite view so you can know EXACTLY what to expect; like where to turn into what drive, etc. It's just amazing. Yes, I think I might marry Google Maps...

SIDE NOTE: I just ran spell check on my entry here and it didn't recognize the word "Google". Google fricken OWNS Blogger! You would think they would add themselves to the dictionary entry! Sheesh.

Happy Birthday to Megan, Dief, and Grammy! You know, I put my snow shovel and rock salt away for a reason. Why? Cause I thought IT WASN'T GOING TO SNOW ANYMORE! Guess I was wrong this year. It's almost May and it is snowing! Oh well, such is life. Big week coming up. Gotta get a bit more work done and get to bed. Here's what I was doing this time two years ago...

Maybe I'll buy a PSP if I can get some decent content on it.

Happy birthday MOMMY!!!

So we just calculated how much money we lose as a company playing darts (average game length 30 minutes; 4 days per week; each of us with a billing rate of $75/hr.) and it averages out to over $20,000 per year! No joke. Gotta run now though, time for darts!

Another fun and productive weekend. On Friday night I made the trip down to Toledo to hang out with the guys after they went to the Mudhens opening day game. It was a blast as always.

On Saturday Jen and I went around and ran a few errands, came back and just watched a movie. Today we started to prime my upstairs and then had dinner at my mom's house for her birthday dinner. A nice ending to another great weekend.

Oh yeah, and I posted a few pictures from a little Final Four party I held a while back. Enjoy!

I bought my first lottery ticket ever in my life and I lost! The Mega Millions jackpot is now at $168 million! If you win that, it's about $3.8 million over the next 26 years. Not a bad income, but I wouldn't stop working. I think I would find a firm to pay me a lump sum and take a large chunk and invest it. I think you would get more than $3 million a year from that. Whatever, the lottery is rigged...

Let's see...it's been a few days since my last post...what's new? Well, Illinois lost the National Championship and gas prices continue to go through the roof. It sucks (gas prices, not Illinois losing) and I hate it when people say, "Oh my God, I found gas for $2.10. Isn't that cheap?!"

NO! THAT'S NOT CHEAP! CHEAP IS $1.00! WHAT REVERSE PSYCHOLOGYING OIL COMPANY GOT IT IN YOUR HEAD THAT $2.10 IS CHEAP?!

I prefer to say that it is "comparatively reasonable". Not "cheap". Enough with the "'s now. To honor the outrageous gas prices, I have decided to calculate how much it costs me to drive a few places with current prices ($2.33) and average gas mileage of my 2004 Ford Expedition (13.8 mpg). These prices are NOT round-trip.

$1.09 - Home to office. Gotta get to work somehow, my bike chain is too rusty.
$0.26 - Office to Jimmy John's. Luckily our office is close to Jimmy John's, so this doesn't cost me too much.
$3.81 - Home to soccer. Not only did I have to pay a butt-load to play, but it costs me over $7 to get there and back!
$1.27 - My work to Jen's work. This is why I don't go visit her at work more often...it's too expensive!
$26.42 - Home to cottage. It's supposed to be relaxing up north...but not if it costs me that much to get there!

I know, I know...I should have bought a more economical car if I didn't want to pay out the ears to get anywhere. Well, screw you, it's my website!

Now, good day.

Good. Great. Another oil monopoly to drive gas prices up.

I just love Google. A year ago today they introduced Gmail, their own e-mail service with 1Gb of storage. It was revolutionary and unheard of in the industry. Well, to celebrate their one-year birthday, they are introducing what is called infinity plus one! Basically they are going to offer Gmail users as much storage as they can, starting at 1.5 Gigs today and growing! Google, you've outdone yourselves again...

I know I haven't posted since before Las Vegas and if anyone noticed, I actually posted my pictures online about a week ago. It's been a pretty busy week with catching up on work, but we're all still alive around here.

ANYWAY, today is my FAVORITE day of the year...April Fool's day! And in tradition of course, Google posted their April Fool's day joke called Google Gulp. Back to work...
