An entrepreneur I respect quite a bit told me recently, "Don't believe your own bullshit.  Sometimes you have to look yourself in the mirror and ask the tough questions."  I actually used that advice today and know I made a good business decision because of it.  If you don't grow from what you learn, you're not actually growing.
